The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Figueroa stuffs the takedown attempt from Moura. Moura gets slowly back to his feet.
Figueroa dodges the punch combination from Moura.
Sloppy strikes from Moura. Those never looked like landing.
Moura misses with a series of wild punches.

and Figueroa counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Figueroa.
Come on Figueroa - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Moura is looking for a takedown.

Figueroa lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Moura!

Figueroa jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Moura manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Moura is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Figueroa is staying tight to Moura's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Figueroa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moura dodges the ground and pound from Figueroa.
Moura is letting Figueroa control him for a moment.
Moura is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Figueroa is controlling him well.

Figueroa has hold of Moura's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Moura tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Figueroa cranks the arm and Moura screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Moura, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
