Thorkildsen throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Olszewicz's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Thorkildsen dives in looking to finish as Olszewicz flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Thorkildsen's strikes! Thorkildsen is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Olszewicz's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Olszewicz was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

After the fight, Rolf Thorkildsen was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
