Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohamed Ahmed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Cloutier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cloutier comes into a darkened arena with his song building. OutKast - Hey Ya kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mohamed Ahmed has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ahmed fails with a takedown attempt.
Cloutier will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Ahmed has closed the distance and engaged Cloutier in a clinch.
Cloutier is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ahmed to keep the fight standing.
Cloutier goes for a takedown attempt but Ahmed pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ahmed had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cloutier defends it easily.

Cloutier sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ahmed's guard.
Cloutier tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ahmed knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mohamed Ahmed.

and Ahmed makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Cloutier dives in and grabs Ahmed's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ahmed pushes down on Cloutier's head and hops out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cloutier is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ahmed tries to control but Cloutier wriggling away.

Cloutier feints and then cracks Ahmed's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ahmed down.

Cloutier is breathing heavily.
Cloutier displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ahmed.

Cloutier tries to throw a body punch but Ahmed avoids it by throwing Cloutier back against the cage.

Ahmed will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cloutier shoots for a double leg takedown but Ahmed sprawls well. He's pushed Cloutier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ahmed tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cloutier defends well and Ahmed ends up having to push Cloutier into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Cloutier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ahmed tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cloutier is in Ahmed's guard.

Ahmed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ahmed has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Ahmed enables Cloutier to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ahmed manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Cloutier looking to sit in guard and control but Ahmed gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ahmed not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Cloutier is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Ahmed wants to clinch up but Cloutier keeps it at a distance.

and Ahmed counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cloutier thinking.

Cloutier jumps guard but Ahmed stands there with Cloutier around his waist. Cloutier gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ahmed wants to control but Cloutier is keeping him busy.
Ahmed is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
