The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Julio ducks under a wild hook from Khan.
Khan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Julio has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Midnight MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Khan darts in looking for a takedown but Julio gets double underhooks and turns Khan into the cage.

Khan dives in and grabs Julio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Julio pushes down on Khan's head and hops out.
Julio stalks Khan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Khan's face. Khan staggers backwards, shaken.

Julio thuds his right hand into Khan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Julio throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Khan on the side of the head.

Khan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Julio manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Khan has Julio in his guard.
