Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Sergienko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Mitrione (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sergienko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bad Reputation. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Sergienko misses.
Sergienko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Andrei Sergienko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitrione dives in and grabs Sergienko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sergienko pushes down on Mitrione's head and hops out.

and Sergienko counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

and Mitrione counters with a single leg into guard. Sergienko didn't expect that.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mitrione wants to control from the top but Sergienko keeps moving.
Mitrione postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Mitrione drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sergienko dives on top into guard.
Sergienko distracts Mitrione with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sergienko tries to free his leg and advance position but Mitrione is retaining full guard.

Mitrione is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Mitrione is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sergienko defends well.

Sergienko avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mitrione working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sergienko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sergienko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sergienko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mitrione has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sergienko has managed to get both his arms back between Mitrione's legs - danger averted.
