Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Huey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huey is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sail Remix version. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dong throws a right hand that Huey ducks under and follows up with a left that Huey also avoids with ease.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Huey has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Huey is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dong.
Good exchange - Dong coming out on top.
Dong throws a nice looking combination but Huey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dong fails to land with a series of punches.
Dong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Huey defends it nicely.
Huey showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dong.
Dong has been working on his balance at Den of Tears (22 coaches, $300 fee), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Huey.

Mike Dong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Dong. Those never looked like landing.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Huey.

Dong works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Dong misses with a wild combination.
Huey dodges the punch combination from Dong.
Huey keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dong lands with a nice combination. Huey backs away looking to recover.

Huey walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Huey is still on wobbly legs! Can Dong finish him?

Dong stuffs the takedown.
Dong Throws a clean left jab. Dong Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Huey's chin! Huey crumbles to the ground and Dong follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Dong!
