Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hong comes to the cage accompanied by Hong Entrance Song. Belt has chosen Dance of the Knights as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kris Hong!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Red Belt!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belt takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hong fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Belt ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hong connects with a single shot there.


It looks like Red Belt has been cut.
Hong slaps away a takedown attempt from Belt, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hong throws a jab when Belt was well out of range.
Hong throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Belt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hong is fending him off so far but Belt persists. Nope, Hong circles away and we're back to standing.
Hong is looking to land body kicks.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Belt is defended easily by Hong.
Kris Hong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Red Belt.
Nice uppercut lands for Hong. That snapped Belt's head back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hong's waist but Hong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Belt off to one side.
Belt gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hong.
Belt tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hong defends well and Belt ends up having to push Hong into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Hong digs a right hand underneath Belt's ribcage. Belt let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Belt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hong walks away with a smile on his face. Belt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hong throws a hook but Belt avoids it easily.
Hong works the jab nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hong misses the jab.
Belt checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Belt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hong tries to avoid it but Belt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hong to the ground. Hong escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Belt blocks a leg kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Belt.
Hong lands with a shot to the body.
Kris Hong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hong throws a nice inside leg kick.
Hong lunges at Belt with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Belt's hand.
Belt goes for a double leg but Hong avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hong continues to drive forward.
Belt looks winded!
Hong lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Belt.
Hong working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Belt jumps guard but Hong turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Belt lands a takedown into guard.
Hong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Belt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hong wants to pass the guard but Belt is defending well.
Hong is taking a breather. Belt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Belt won't allow Hong to pass to mount.
Hong trying to control the pace.
Belt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hong is working away from the top position though.
Hong keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kris Hong wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Belt takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Belt gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hong counters with a nice body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A chopping leg kick lands by Hong.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hong throws a leg kick but Belt checks it.
Hong fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
An inside leg kick lands from Hong.
Hong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hong seems to be stalking Belt here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Belt drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kris Hong!
Kris Hong retains his light heavyweight title!
A very excited looking Kris Hong made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
