Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Findlay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Findlay closes the distance and clinches.

Findlay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Christopher sprawls well initially but Findlay persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

A nice inside leg kick there by Findlay. That's going to slow Christopher down.

Findlay's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Findlay shoots in looking for a takedown. Christopher tries to sprawl out of it but Findlay keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Christopher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Findlay counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Christopher is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Findlay is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Christopher presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Findlay feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Christopher's calf.
Findlay shoots for a double leg takedown but Christopher sprawls well. He's pushed Findlay's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Findlay gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Christopher has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Findlay avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Findlay is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Christopher defends well.
Christopher throws an elbow that misses. Findlay uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Christopher's guard. Nice move by Findlay!

Findlay has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Let's hope that Findlay has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

James Findlay is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Findlay unloads with some shots from mount but Christopher bucks and avoids them well.

James Findlay comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Findlay has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
