PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timothy Mcgee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Berg Saeger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcgee comes to the cage accompanied by McGee. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Timothy Mcgee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Berg Saeger!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saeger on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Mcgee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Saeger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcgee somewhat.

Mcgee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Saeger throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Mcgee showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Saeger can do anything to dispel that myth.
Saeger will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Mcgee gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Saeger lands with a shot to the body.
Mcgee shoots in but Saeger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mcgee shoots for a takedown but Saeger saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Timothy Mcgee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mcgee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saeger tries to avoid it but Mcgee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saeger to the ground. Saeger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcgee fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Saeger displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcgee.
Saeger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Saeger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mcgee keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Saeger throws a chopping leg kick but Mcgee manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Saeger connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Saeger tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mcgee was well out of range. Poor timing from Saeger.

Mcgee clinches up against the cage.

Mcgee drags the fight down to the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mcgee is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mcgee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mcgee sitting in guard here, content to control.

Mcgee drops back looking for a leg! Saeger is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Saeger manages to kick Mcgee off! Mcgee jumps back into Saeger's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mcgee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mcgee stopping the sweep attempt from Saeger.
Mcgee stays in close to Saeger's body and controls the position.

Mcgee drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Mcgee as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Saeger screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Mcgee! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Timothy Mcgee!
