The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatfield tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thai swivels and escapes.
Thai misses with a body punch
and Hatfield counters with a two punch combo.
Thai connects with a high kick.
Thai blocks a head kick by Hatfield.
The fight stays on the outside here - Thai looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Thai misses with a combination
and Hatfield counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thai thinking.
Thai connects with a leg kick. Hatfield looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Thai has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hatfield creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Hatfield wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Thai has him pressed against the cage.
Thai tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hatfield avoids it.

Thai breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Thai clinches with his opponent.

Thai pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hatfield avoids the body shot from Thai.

Hatfield closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hatfield has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Hatfield is trying to push Thai away but Thai has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hatfield wants to break the clinch but can't.
Thai lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Reginald Hatfield has been cut.
Thai stalling against the cage.
Hatfield is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Thai to keep the fight standing.
Hatfield tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thai smiles and moves away.

Bezt Thai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hatfield throws a looping overhand right but Thai ducks down to avoid it.
A nice combination there by Hatfield.

Hatfield gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A short uppercut from Hatfield.
Hatfield really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hatfield wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Thai has him pressed against the cage.
Hatfield tries for a takedown but Thai manages to get underhooks.
Thai lands an elbow that stopped Hatfield in his tracks for a moment.

Thai pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Thai misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hatfield changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thai tries to avoid it but Hatfield manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thai to the ground. Thai escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hatfield sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Hatfield is breathing heavily.

Thai has Hatfield up against the cage in a clinch.

Thai pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Thai takes the fight into the clinch.
Hatfield wants to break free but Thai has control.

Thai breaks from the clinch.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Thai! Hatfield is out on his feet! Thai rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hatfield is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hatfield is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
