Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Key Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khabib Nurmagomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khabib Nurmagomedov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Khabib Nurmagomedov!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone misses with a series of wild punches.

Nurmagomedov has managed to clinch.
Stone makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Nurmagomedov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stone smiles and moves away.
Stone throws a head kick that misses.
Stone will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Nurmagomedov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Nurmagomedov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stone keeps working.
Stone could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Nurmagomedov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stone hang on?

Nurmagomedov unloads with some shots from mount but Stone bucks and avoids them well.
Stone has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Khabib Nurmagomedov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Stone struggles to land a body shot inside as Nurmagomedov controls his hands.
Stone has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Stone tries to circle away but Nurmagomedov has him pinned against the cage.

Nurmagomedov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Nurmagomedov tries to pass to full mount but Stone defends it.
Nurmagomedov scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Still in half guard, Nurmagomedov seems content to control.

Nurmagomedov is looking for a kimura but Stone is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nurmagomedov to get the leverage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stone fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Nurmagomedov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Nurmagomedov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stone walks away with a smile on his face. Nurmagomedov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Nurmagomedov feints and as Stone raises his hands in defense, Nurmagomedov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nurmagomedov stays in close to Stone's body and controls the position.
Nurmagomedov wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.

Stone closes the distance and clinches up with Nurmagomedov, looking for a takedown. Stone pushes Nurmagomedov against the cage but Nurmagomedov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well Nurmagomedov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
