Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marlon Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Huss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin's entrance music is "Don't Waste My Time" by Jim Johnston. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin wants to clinch
and Huss counters with a left and a right that stings Griffin.
Griffin looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Huss tries a head kick but it misses.
Griffin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Huss lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Griffin at a distance.

Huss rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Griffin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Huss has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

We've been told by Griffin's head coaches at Cozad MMA Los Angeles that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Huss decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Oh Griffin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Huss thows a huge punch but Griffin dodges it nicely.

Huss stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Griffin to get to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Griffin is trying to pull guard but Huss turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Huss throws a knee to the head but misses.

Huss has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Griffin uses from the top position.

Huss has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Griffin doesn't defend quickly enough and Huss has managed to lock this one up! Can Griffin escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Huss on a fantastic submission victory.
