Ropuitururapthlaka comes to the cage accompanied by One - Metallica. Brian Garcia will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia misses with a straight right.
Ropuitururapthlaka has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Garcia throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ropuitururapthlaka stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Garcia throws a shot from downtown. Ropuitururapthlaka moves away and avoids it.
Ropuitururapthlaka shoots in and drives through. Garcia sprawls well.

Garcia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ropuitururapthlaka to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garcia has his feet on Ropuitururapthlaka's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ropuitururapthlaka tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Garcia defends well and Ropuitururapthlaka ends up having to push Garcia into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ropuitururapthlaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Garcia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Garcia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ropuitururapthlaka defends it easily.
