The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eugene is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Eugene works the jab nicely.

It looks like Nick Van Dijk has been cut.
Van Dijk moves away from the strike by Eugene.

Eugene darts in and clinches Van Dijk up against the cage.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Eugene got a little sloppy there for a moment and Van Dijk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Eugene has managed to get both his arms back between Van Dijk's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Eugene has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Van Dijk to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Eugene is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Van Dijk pulls down on the head and he's put Eugene to sleep! This one is all over!
