Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Skittles McCallister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marky Tylyre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Skittles McCallister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marky Tylyre!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by McCallister or perhaps it was just good defense by Tylyre which made him look bad.
McCallister throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Tylyre fails with a takedown attempt.
Tylyre tries to work over McCallister's front leg with a kick but McCallister checks it.
Tylyre wants to clinch.
Tylyre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCallister is fending him off so far but Tylyre persists. Nope, McCallister circles away and we're back to standing.

Tylyre closes this distance looking for a takedown but McCallister circles away.
Skittles McCallister has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marky Tylyre.

Tylyre looks for a takedown but McCallister sprawls well.
McCallister shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tylyre but Tylyre pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tylyre shoots in looking for a takedown but McCallister manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tylyre's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and McCallister counters with a shoot takedown. Tylyre fights it but they end up in guard.
Tylyre pulls McCallister in close to his closed guard and prevents McCallister from doing any damage or advancing position.

McCallister wants to control from the top but Tylyre keeps moving.
Tylyre is looking to stand up but McCallister isn't so interested in that idea.

We're going to have a standup here because Skittles McCallister wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tylyre slaps away a takedown attempt from McCallister, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Tylyre shoots in but no luck this time.
McCallister keeps the fight on the outside.
McCallister closes the distance and clinches up with Tylyre, looking for a takedown. McCallister pushes Tylyre against the cage but Tylyre circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tylyre shoots in for a takedown but McCallister shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A low kick from Tylyre is predictable there
and McCallister counters with a solid body kick.

Tylyre gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Tylyre jumps guard but McCallister turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
McCallister wants a takedown.

Tylyre jumps guard and drags McCallister to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Tylyre pulls McCallister in to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Marky Tylyre will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tylyre goes for a takedown attempt but McCallister pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
McCallister misses with a takedown attempt - Tylyre sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Tylyre clinches up with McCallister and pushes him back against the cage.
Tylyre is pressed up against the cage. McCallister has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tylyre down to the mat. Tylyre avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tylyre shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McCallister sprawls well. McCallister wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tylyre gets slowly back to his feet.
Tylyre throws a front kick aimed at McCallister's knee but McCallister avoids it well.

McCallister misses with a jab, cross combination.

Tylyre has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tylyre wants to break free but McCallister has control.
Tylyre tries to score a body lock takedown but McCallister shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Tylyre has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics McCallister uses from the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Tylyre tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McCallister paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Marky Tylyre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tylyre moves out of range of the body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marky Tylyre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


McCallister fails with the takedown.
Tylyre shoots in for a double leg but McCallister sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tylyre misses with a head kick.

McCallister shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than McCallister was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
McCallister is looking to take a break and control but Tylyre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tylyre stops McCallister from passing to mount.

Tylyre can't do much from the bottom here.
Who's going to make the next move?
Tylyre manages to get back to half guard.

Tylyre gets full guard.
McCallister trying to control the position from guard on top but Tylyre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tylyre is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tylyre tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McCallister defends well and Tylyre ends up having to push McCallister into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
McCallister changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tylyre fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nice body punch from Tylyre - that landed with a thud.
McCallister drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tylyre gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tylyre has had enough of the clinch but McCallister keeps him there for the moment.
McCallister keeps control of Tylyre as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Tylyre pulls guard successfully.
Skittles McCallister has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Marky Tylyre is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Tylyre seems keen to control McCallister's posture.

Marky Tylyre comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tylyre has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
