Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Freese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Killing in the Name. Louis Freese will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freese misses with a jab, cross combination.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Freese.
Louis Freese seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva throws a series of punches but Freese moves out of range.

Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva winds up and cracks Freese with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Freese has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Freese is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Silva can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Freese jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Silva is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Silva and Freese has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Freese bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Freese drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Silva dives on top into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Freese throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Louis Freese is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Freese had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Freese Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.

Freese has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Silva! Can he survive? No! He's out! Freese gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
