Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Uhtred Bebbanburg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orion Contras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orion Contras will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Contras bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bebbanburg is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Rape Academy, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bebbanburg is trying to escape the position but Contras is controlling the position.

Contras is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bebbanburg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Contras closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Contras is keen to just control but Bebbanburg is a slippery customer.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Contras is looking for a sweep.
Contras is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bebbanburg has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Bebbanburg lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Contras shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Contras was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
