Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Laph Roaig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Spade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roaig comes to the cage accompanied by The Doors - Alabama song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade misses with a hook
and Roaig counters with a low kick, right behind Spade 's knee.
We've been hearing reports that Roaig has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Spade has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Spade lunges at Roaig with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Roaig's hand.

Roaig lands with an uppercut that bounces Spade off the cage and back into range.

Spade ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Roaig moves away.

Scott Spade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Roaig tries to close the distance and clinch but Spade swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Spade is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Roaig rather than just go for the knockout.

Roaig looks to land a left hand but Spade moved out of range nicely.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Laph Roaig will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Oh Roaig is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Spade lands a huge takedown. Roaig is out but the ref is slow to react and Spade lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Roaig lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
