Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vasilko Nikolaevich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Speedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Speedy has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Nikolaevich counters with a nice kick to the body.
Speedy looks to score with a jab to the body but Nikolaevich is just out of range.

Speedy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nikolaevich as he jumps to the side.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Speedy takes a kick to the side of the head.

Speedy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nikolaevich moves away.
Nikolaevich stuffs the takedown attempt from Speedy. Speedy gets slowly back to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Vasilko Nikolaevich will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vasilko Nikolaevich.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nikolaevich, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
