Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between BJ McGobblecock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingston has chosen 2pac - I'm Soulja as his entrance music. Nate Kingston will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Nate Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGobblecock misses the shot to the body.
Kingston connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
McGobblecock scores with a nice strike.
McGobblecock keeps the fight on the outside.
Kingston misses with a few strikes there.
We've been hearing reports that McGobblecock has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kingston throws a series of punches but McGobblecock moves out of range.
McGobblecock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McGobblecock throws the left hand but Kingston avoids the punch easily.
McGobblecock tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kingston was well out of range. Poor timing from McGobblecock.

McGobblecock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kingston can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McGobblecock is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Kingston jumps into side control!

McGobblecock has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kingston is working away from the top position though.

Kingston drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kingston jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McGobblecock is controlling Kingston's posture.
McGobblecock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
McGobblecock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kingston on the ground.

McGobblecock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

I would just about give that final round to Nate Kingston.
Well Kingston has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
