Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricky Lawler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Smith!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawler looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Smith counters with a shoot takedown. Lawler fights it but they end up in guard.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lawler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Lawler's legs - danger averted.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Smith might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lawler haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lawler's guard.
Smith sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lawler's guard.
