Landeskog has chosen Warm Shadow - Fink as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Magnus Landeskog has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Olivier Levasseur's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Magnus Landeskog!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landeskog cracks a nice hook into Levasseur's ribs.
Levasseur takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Levasseur.

Levasseur throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Levasseur is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Landeskog wants to pass the guard but Levasseur is keeping the position.

Levasseur has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Landeskog can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Levasseur has his foot on Landeskog's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Landeskog works his way back into a safe position though.
Levasseur seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Landeskog has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Levasseur is proving hard to escape from.
Landeskog throws an elbow that misses. Levasseur uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Landeskog's guard. Nice move by Levasseur!
Landeskog looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Levasseur puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Levasseur not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Levasseur thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Landeskog's head.
Levasseur wants to lay and pray for a moment but Landeskog keeps working.

Landeskog is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Landeskog makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Landeskog.
Levasseur tries to free his leg and advance position but Landeskog is retaining full guard.
Our spies down at at CT Antiga União inform us that Landeskog has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Levasseur is looking to pass into half guard but Landeskog pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Landeskog is in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Levasseur is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Levasseur working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Landeskog doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Levasseur is tightening it up a little... Landeskog has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Landeskog reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Landeskog taps out! Nice BJJ there by Levasseur!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Olivier Levasseur!
During a confident post fight interview, Olivier Levasseur thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Magnus Landeskog was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm sorry. I don't know how I wasn't able to impose my gameplan here. I know I'm a better fighter but I just didn't do enough to win. I need one more chance, just one. That's all I need.'.
