Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Game (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dixon's choice of entrance music: Dark Tranquillity - Iridium. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Game!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 2, fighting out of New York, Joey Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Game misses with a looping left.
Dixon misses with a low kick.
Dixon checks a leg kick nicely.
Dixon moves in looking to clinch but Game pushes him off.
Dixon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Game. That did some damage!

No joy there for Game, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Game connects with a looping right hand.

A shot to the body from Game misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Game fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dixon on the side of the head.
Dixon scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dixon loads up on a big right hand but Game slips the punch.
Game lands with a good body shot.

Dixon takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Nick Game seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Game is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dixon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Game walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dixon checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Game throws a hook to the side of Dixon's head but Dixon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nick Game is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dixon throws the left hand but Game avoids the punch easily.
Dixon throws a nice looking combination but Game bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Game throws an overhand right that lands on Dixon's shoulder, as Dixon tries to avoid the shot.
Game darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Game avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Game misses with a straight left.
Game misses with a wild combination.
Dixon misses with a body shot.
Dixon staying out of range there.
Game throws a leg kick which misses Dixon's front leg but catches the back leg as Dixon tries to avoid it.
Game tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dixon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Dixon counters with a nice low kick that buckles Game's knee momentarily.
Dixon wants to clinch up but Game keeps it at a distance.
Game looks to score with a jab to the body but Dixon is just out of range.
Dixon scores with the left hand. Game knows he should have avoided that one.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dixon tries to close the distance and clinch but Game swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dixon moves out of range of the strikes.
Dixon blocks a head kick by Game.
Game cracks Dixon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dixon blocks a head kick by Game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Game will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Game pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dixon is out of range and Game settles back down.
Game looks to land a right hand but Dixon moved out of range.
Game lands a two punch combo.
Game lands with a straight right. Dixon didn't see that one coming.
Dixon cracks Game with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Game explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Game scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Dixon tries to clinch there but Game circles away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dixon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Game is in close to Dixon's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Game postures up in Dixon's guard and throws a big left but Dixon blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Game won't allow Dixon to get back to his feet.
Game has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Dixon is trying to keep Game in close.
Game controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Dixon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Game's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Game's back!

Dixon goes for a double leg but Game avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Game continues to drive forward.
