Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrison has chosen The Clocks as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sid Morrison will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cherry fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morrison sprawls well initially but Cherry persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Cherry wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Morrison doesn't manage to clinch there - Cherry circles away.

Cherry drives through with a takedown into Morrison's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Morrison is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cherry defends well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Morrison wants to sweep here but Cherry controlling him for the moment.

Cherry is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Morrison looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cherry has picked Morrison up and slammed him! Morrison can't keep hold of the triangle and Cherry manages to pass to side control!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
