Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Colon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Silva throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Silva is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Colon scores with a couple of nice shots.
Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Colon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Colon lands with a punch from half guard.
Colon winds up and cracks Silva with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Colon fails in his attempt to clinch.

Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Colon was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tyrone Colon just wasn't active enough.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jordan Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva instigates a clinch.

Colon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Colon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Colon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Silva is working an open guard so Colon takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Silva shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Silva showed some decent athleticism there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silva is trying to work for a kimura but Colon is defending well.
Silva looks winded!

Silva is looking to pass Colon's guard but actually Colon recovers to full guard.

Colon kicks Silva off and gets to his feet.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Colon moves out of range easily.

Silva tries to sprawl but Colon drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Silva is trying to stand.

Colon working over Silva with some ground and pound. Silva looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Colon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Colon slows the pace down in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Colon connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Colon is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Silva moves into the clinch.
Colon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Silva pulls his leg out and moves away.
Silva looks for the body kick but Colon saw that one coming.
Colon tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.

Silva gets caught flat footed, as Colon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Colon scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Colon controlling from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Colon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Colon gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Silva thows a body shot but no joy.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Colon enables Silva to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Colon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Colon's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Colon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Colon pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva is wriggling around trying to escape.
Colon is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Colon cracks Silva with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
