Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yrjo Jarvinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yokida Matae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarvinen comes to the cage accompanied by Ini Kamoze- Here comes the hotstepper. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jarvinen drops his hands momentarily and Matae takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

It looks like Yrjo Jarvinen has been cut.

Jarvinen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Matae's waist but Matae gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jarvinen off to one side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Matae enables Jarvinen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Matae manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jarvinen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Jarvinen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Matae manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jarvinen has Matae in his guard.

Matae gets to his feet. Jarvinen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Jarvinen throws the left hand but Matae avoids the punch easily.

I was talking to Jarvinen's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jarvinen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Matae is defending well for now.
Jarvinen is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jarvinen goes for a takedown attempt but Matae pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Matae just misses with a punch to the body.

Yokida Matae seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Matae takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Matae lands a nice shot that snaps Jarvinen's head back.

Matae lands a big head kick that sends Jarvinen tumbling to the mat! Matae takes a step backwards and waves Jarvinen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Matae is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Jarvinen flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jarvinen is out cold! Matae holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Yokida Matae decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
