PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Draven Noxus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Wesson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wesson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Imperial March kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Noxus closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Noxus working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Noxus seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wesson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Noxus is looking to take a break and control but Wesson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Noxus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Noxus cracks Wesson with a solid left hand.
Noxus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wesson on the ground.

Wesson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Noxus gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Noxus looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Noxus slips a nice elbow through Wesson's hands, connecting with Wesson's forehead.

Wesson is rocked!

Noxus is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Wesson is hurt! He's hurt bad - Noxus fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Wesson from any more punishment! Congratulations to Noxus! Great finish!
