Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aung San Suu Kyi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suu Kyi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Peace Prize Speech. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aung San Suu Kyi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Julian Knight!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight looks to land a left hand but Suu Kyi moved out of range nicely.

Knight shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Suu Kyi is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are battling for position here. Suu Kyi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Knight throws a big elbow that misses.
Knight trying to control but Suu Kyi is working from the bottom.
Suu Kyi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Knight wants to control from the top but Suu Kyi keeps moving.
Suu Kyi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight stays in close to Suu Kyi's body and controls the position.
Suu Kyi looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Julian Knight has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Knight moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Knight ducks under a wild hook from Suu Kyi.
Knight throws a series of punches but Suu Kyi avoids them all with ease.
Suu Kyi gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Knight counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Knight lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Knight missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Knight not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Knight is trying to control the action in half guard but Suu Kyi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Suu Kyi works his way to full guard. Good work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Suu Kyi is on top in guard.
Knight keeping moving, preventing Suu Kyi from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knight manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Knight misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Suu Kyi is in all sorts of trouble here.
Suu Kyi tries to hold on but Knight pushes him away.
Knight lands a big shot there that rocks Suu Kyi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.


It looks like Aung San Suu Kyi has been cut.
Suu Kyi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BOOM! Knight connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Aung San Suu Kyi's cut is getting worse.
Suu Kyi working to try and regain half guard.
Suu Kyi is working hard here to advance position.
Knight postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Suu Kyi looks a forlorn figure.


Aung San Suu Kyi's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Knight breaks from Suu Kyi's wrist control and lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Julian Knight dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Aung San Suu Kyi's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


The fight stays on the outside here - Knight looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Aung San Suu Kyi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Julian Knight!
An out of breath Julian Knight thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
