Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Dansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hevi Hitter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Dansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hevi Hitter!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dansen darts in looking for a takedown but Hitter gets double underhooks and turns Dansen into the cage.
Hitter tries to circle away but Dansen has him pinned against the cage.

Dansen breaks from the clinch.
Dansen shoots for a double leg takedown but Hitter sprawls well. He's pushed Dansen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Hitter misses the target.
Dansen darts in looking for a takedown but Hitter gets double underhooks and turns Dansen into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Dansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dansen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hitter can't break the clinch.
Dansen goes for a takedown attempt but Hitter pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hitter defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dansen.

Dansen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hitter but Hitter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dansen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The fighters circling - Hitter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hitter misses with a straight left.
Dansen gets cracked there but stands up to it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dansen slowing the pace effectively.
Dansen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hitter avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Dansen lands a takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Dansen is pushing down on Hitter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hitter is fighting to maintain full guard but Dansen has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dansen wants to pass the guard but Hitter is defending well.
Dansen moves into full mount! Hitter won't be happy about that!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hitter looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dansen has hold of Hitter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hitter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dansen controlling the position easily from mount.
Dansen takes Hitter's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Hitter is in trouble.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hitter looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Dansen patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Dansen really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Hitter.
I really don't envy Hitter right now.

Dansen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hitter knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hitter for a finish.
Dansen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dansen throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

Dansen is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Hitter fending off the submission attempt from Dansen.

Hitter is having to fend off submission attempts from Dansen, who is looking to sink in the choke. Dansen doesn't have the hooks in though and Hitter manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dansen has a closed guard, preventing Hitter from standing up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dansen pushes Hitter off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dansen closes the distance and clinches up with Hitter, looking for a takedown. Dansen pushes Hitter against the cage but Hitter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dansen fails with a takedown attempt.
Hitter looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dansen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Dansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hitter tries to keep at a distance but Dansen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Dansen is working for takedown but Hitter is calmly controlling the position for now.

Dansen drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hitter gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dansen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hitter after a bit of a struggle.
Hitter is pressed up against the cage. Dansen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hitter down to the mat. Hitter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dansen.
Hitter throws a lazy right hand but Dansen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Dansen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dansen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hitter is breathing heavily.
Dansen advances to mount.
Dansen landing shots from mount.


It looks like Hevi Hitter has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dansen tries to control but Hitter wriggling away.
Dansen putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!


That has opened up Hevi Hitter's cut even more.
Dansen wants to control the pace but Hitter is squirming around nicely.
Dansen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Dansen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hitter is surviving well by controlling Dansen's body position as best he can.

Dansen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hitter is looking to escape.
Hitter is looking to get to half guard.
Dansen seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Hitter is holding on tight.
Dansen trying to control but Hitter is having none of it.
Dansen throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Dansen wants to control the pace but Hitter is squirming around nicely.

Hitter stops Dansen from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Dansen looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hitter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dansen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Dansen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hitter after a bit of a struggle.
Dansen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Hitter is trying to break the clinch but Dansen is controlling him.
Dansen tries to pull guard but Hitter holds him up against the cage and eventually Dansen drops back down to his feet.

Dansen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hitter is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Dansen tries to score a body lock takedown but Hitter shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Dansen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hitter avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Dansen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hitter after a bit of a struggle.
Come on Dansen - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Dansen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hitter looks to score with a jab to the body but Dansen is just out of range.
Hitter lands a nice looking body shot.

Dansen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hitter quickly recovers to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hitter wants to get back to his feet.
Dansen is trying to control. Hitter wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Dansen controlling the action here.
Dansen looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Hitter is not content to let Dansen control the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Jon Dansen wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Dansen slips under a jab from Hitter.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Dansen showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dansen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
