Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dan Barret (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight shoots in for a takedown but Barret shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Knight closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Knight is pressing down on Barret's thigh, looking to free his foot. Barret is holding on for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Barret has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Knight is working away from the top position though.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Barret enables Knight to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barret manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Knight stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barret swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Knight goes for a double leg but Barret avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Barret continues to drive forward.
