Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Michaels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Griffin Glass!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Michaels looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Michaels manages to pull guard.

Michaels looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Glass pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Michaels is keeping the position for now.

Glass postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Michaels is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Glass, into his guard.
Michaels will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Glass lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Michaels!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Glass swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Michaels is now in Glass's guard. A big mistake from Glass there, giving up the dominant position!

Michaels stopping the sweep attempt from Glass.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Michaels drops back looking for a leg! Glass is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Glass manages to kick Michaels off! Michaels jumps back into Glass's guard.
Glass is trying to control the position but Michaels postures up.

Glass had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Michaels is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Glass Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Michaels's back instead.
Michaels manages to reverse the position and now he's in Glass's guard. Nice work there by Michaels.

Glass is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Michaels can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Glass prevents Michaels from getting the reversal.
Michaels is trying to escape the mount but Glass keeps good control and instead manages to take Michaels's back.
Michaels knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Glass on the ground.

Griffin Glass dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Glass is trying for a kimura here. Michaels looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Glass wins by kimura!
