PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lara might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 'I Stand Alone' by Godsmack. St Pierre has chosen Aint No Sunshine as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Chuck St Pierre enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre tries for a takedown but Lara sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
St Pierre looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lara moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
St Pierre keeps the fight on the outside.

St Pierre moves into the clinch.
St Pierre landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Lara stops a takedown attempt from St Pierre.
Alexander Lara has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck St Pierre.
Lara prevents a takedown attempt there.
Lara goes for a takedown attempt but St Pierre pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
St Pierre tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lara swivels and escapes.

Lara darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
St Pierre wants to control but Lara is keeping busy.
St Pierre looks gassed!
Lara works his way into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lara scores with a couple of short elbows.

Lara has an Americana. St Pierre didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Lara is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Lara hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
