The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thales throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thales misses with a takedown

and Leaseau counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Leaseau.
Thales is working for takedown but Leaseau is calmly controlling the position for now.
Leaseau is trying to pull guard but Thales has him pressed against the cage.

Leaseau gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Leaseau content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Thales is trying to maintain the position but Leaseau is very close to passing his half guard.

Leaseau is nestled in close to Thales, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Thales tries to control Leaseau's body but Leaseau pushes him off. Thales squirms to his side and now Leaseau has his back!

Leaseau is cranking Thales's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Thales! He's tightened the choke and Thales is tapping out!
