The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pollard is looking to clinch but Paul is avoiding it.
Pollard could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Paul punishes Pollard's body with a nice straight punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pollard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Paul throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pollard.
Paul chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pollard.
Paul misses with a head kick.

Paul feints and as Pollard raises his hands in defense, Paul changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Paul postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pollard is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Paul makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Pollard throws his legs up looking for a submission but Paul uses it to pass to side control.
Pollard is breathing heavily.
Paul grinds an elbow into Pollard's temple.

Paul decides to stand back up.
Pollard gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
