Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elisha Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Davies!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well.
Some wild striking there from Davies.
Carter tries to clinch but Davies moves out of range.
Davies throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carter.

Carter gets a takedown into half guard.
Carter sitting and controlling from the half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Davies manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Carter keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Davies looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Davies is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Davies wants to break free but Carter has control.

Carter manages to pull guard.
Davies wants to get up but he can't break Carter's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Davies throws a big elbow that misses.
Davies wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.
Carter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Davies makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Davies got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Davies has managed to get both his arms back between Carter's legs - danger averted.
Davies wants to stand but Carter has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davies throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carter.

It looks like Elisha Carter has been cut.

Davies rushes Carter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Davies looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Carter manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Davies tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carter smiles and moves away.
No joy there for Davies, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davies keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Davies lands a body shot.
Davies throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease.
Davies dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Davies's head and hops out.
Elisha Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Davies tries to clinch up but Carter circles away and keeps his distance.

This has been an exciting period of action!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Davies throws his legs up looking for a submission but Carter uses it to pass to side control.

Carter advances to full mount.
Davies is looking to improve his position but Carter isn't that keen on the idea.

Davies really wants to buck Carter off and get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davies can't escape the position.
Carter lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Carter fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The referee warns Davies that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Davies misses with a few strikes there.
Davies throws a series of punches but Carter avoids them all with ease.
Carter shoots for a double leg takedown but Davies sprawls well. He's pushed Carter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Carter shoots in and drives through. Davies sprawls well.
Travis Davies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davies misses with the combination.
Davies rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carter fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elisha Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Carter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Davies won't be happy with that.

Carter stands up and beckons Davies to his feet.
Davies tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Davies misses with a wild combination.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davies as he jumps to the side.

Nice takedown defense from Davies. No joy for Carter on that attempt.

Davies lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Davies.
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch but Davies swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Davies misses with a body kick.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davies sprawls well. Davies wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carter gets slowly back to his feet.
Carter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Davies defends it nicely.
Davies fails in his attempt to clinch.
Davies looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Davies has taken the fight to the clinch.
Davies tries to break the clinch but Carter is controlling the position.

Carter is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Davies to keep the fight standing.
Carter is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Davies manages to break the clinch.
Davies misses with a double jab.

Carter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Carter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Davies's head.

Carter scoring with punches and elbows.
Davies wants to control but Carter postures up.
Elisha Carter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Carter works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davies wants to get back to his feet but Carter is dominant here and he's now got Davies's back!

And that's the end of the fight!
Elisha Carter showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Carter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
