The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera throws a solid leg kick but Rivers takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Barrera.
Rivers lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Barrera is rocked!
Rivers misses with the combination.
Oh Barrera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rivers misses with a wild combination.
Barrera seems to have got his legs back now.
Barrera has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Barrera throws a leg kick but Rivers sees it coming and moves out of range.
Rivers lands a nice shot that snaps Barrera's head back.

Barrera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Barrera throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Rivers tries to keep at a distance but Barrera has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rivers gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Barrera.

Rivers breaks from the clinch.
Rivers misses with a series of wild punches.
Rivers pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Barrera slips a jab from Rivers.
A punch combination from Barrera misses.
Barrera lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rivers works the jab nicely.
Rivers lands with a big left! Barrera is wobbled badly! Rivers comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Barrera to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
