PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leggy Leg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leg circles away from the clinch attempt.

Boyle closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Leg did well to prevent Boyle getting side control.
Boyle stops Leg from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boyle is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Leg doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Boyle.

Boyle wants to work for an arm triangle but Leg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Leg is looking to control Boyle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Leg avoid being mounted?
Boyle is looking to advance position but Leg won't allow it.
Boyle really is a fat lump.

Leg preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Leg wants to control the action here but instead Boyle manages to pass to full mount!
Leg is working to get back to half guard.

Boyle has hold of Leg's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Leg manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Leg wants to hold on but Boyle pushes him away.

Boyle get's back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boyle fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Leg avoids it really well and circles away.

Leg clinches.

Leg's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Leg misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boyle avoids the body shot from Leg.
Leg misses with a few strikes there.
Leg lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Boyle backs up against the cage.

It looks like Lance Boyle has been cut.
Leg looks winded!
Leg misses with a jab, cross combination.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Leg swinging wildly here.
Leg bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Leg tries to bum rush Boyle with a series of wild strikes but Boyle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nice takedown defense from Leg. No joy for Boyle on that attempt.

Leg has closed the distance and engaged Boyle in a clinch.

Boyle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leg darts in looking for a takedown but Boyle gets double underhooks and turns Leg into the cage.
Boyle tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Leg avoids it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Boyle manages to break the clinch.
Leggy Leg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boyle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lance Boyle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Leg keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Leg gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Boyle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice cross by Leg.
Leg misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Leg throws a series of strikes that have Boyle backpedaling.
Horrible takedown by Leg or perhaps it was just good defense by Boyle which made him look bad.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boyle is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Leg's half guard.
Leg tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Boyle manages to move to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Leggy Leg will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Boyle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Leg circles away.
Leg is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Boyle like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Boyle from another fist facial!
