Gold is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Rock Theme. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chulainn clinches up with Gold and pushes him back against the cage.
Gold is trying to break the clinch but Chulainn is controlling him.
Gold wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Chulainn has him pressed against the cage.
Chulainn prevents Gold from breaking the clinch.
Chulainn is trying to pull guard but Gold turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gold is trying to push Chulainn away but Chulainn has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Chulainn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gold's efforts to push away.

Chulainn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gold fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chulainn.
Gold fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Chulainn checks it well.
A head kick misses from Gold.
Chulainn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gold throws a low kick but it's checked well by Chulainn.

Chulainn closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gold quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Chulainn is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Gold is trying to control but Chulainn passes into side control!
Chulainn remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Chulainn is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Gold looks calm but he's in trouble here. Chulainn gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Gold is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Chulainn lets go of the hold and Gold can pop his arm back in it's socket.
