The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Skalinskas counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Johnston is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Skalinskas throws a nice looking combination but Johnston bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tomas Skalinskas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Johnston closes the distance and pushes Skalinskas back into the cage.

Johnston is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Skalinskas is defending well for now.
