Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ashton Cryer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon DeLaurier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leon DeLaurier has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ashton Cryer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leon DeLaurier!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeLaurier closes the distance and pushes Cryer back into the cage.
DeLaurier has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cryer after a bit of a struggle.
DeLaurier managing to block the knees to the body from Cryer.

DeLaurier gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells DeLaurier's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
DeLaurier looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

DeLaurier is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's time! Cryer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

DeLaurier is pulling down on Cryer's head. It's preventing any offense from Cryer, at least for the moment.
Cryer postures up in DeLaurier's guard and throws a big left but DeLaurier blocks it.

We're going to have a standup here because Ashton Cryer wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Cryer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DeLaurier's waist but DeLaurier gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cryer off to one side.

Leon DeLaurier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well DeLaurier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
