Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lazy Lary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Namnie Osamowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Namnie Osamowa was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Lary.
Osamowa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Lary pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lary instigates a clinch.

Lary pulls guard successfully.
Lary seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Lary wants to hit a switch here but Osamowa passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lary there!
Osamowa thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Osamowa avoids the attempt from Lary to control.

Lary regains half guard.
Lary has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Osamowa is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Osamowa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lary's waist but Lary gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Osamowa off to one side.

Lary looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Osamowa wants to control but Lary is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Lary looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Lary tries to pass to full mount but Osamowa defends it.
Lary is looking to take a break and control but Osamowa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lary will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fight stays on the outside here - Osamowa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fighters circle momentarily. Lary darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Lary gets to his feet. Osamowa looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Lary dives in and scores a takedown into Osamowa's guard.
Lary stays in close to Osamowa's body and controls the position.
Lary has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lary decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Lary clinches up with Osamowa and pushes him back against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lary pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lary forces Osamowa back against the cage and clinches.

Lary breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Lary shoots for a double leg takedown but Osamowa sprawls well. He's pushed Lary's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Osamowa has had enough of the clinch but Lary keeps him there for the moment.
Lary wants to take the fight to the mat but Osamowa manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Osamowa wants to control from the top but Lary keeps moving.
Osamowa forces his way into half guard.

Osamowa is keen to just control but Lary is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Osamowa is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lary sees it coming and defends easily.
Lary is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Osamowa can do to turn this around?
Osamowa is trying to control the action in half guard but Lary is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lary manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Osamowa keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Lary tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Lary closes the distance and clinches up with Osamowa, looking for a takedown. Lary pushes Osamowa against the cage but Osamowa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Osamowa is trying to maintain a safe position but Lary gets an underhook and turns Osamowa into the cage.

Well Lary has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
