The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Land throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Land on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Land throws a head kick but McCullough moves out of range.
McCullough misses with a head kick.
McCullough tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Land counters with a flying knee. Nice.
A good leg kick by Land.
Land keeps McCullough at a distance using the push kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCullough pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McCullough misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sloppy strikes from McCullough. Those never looked like landing.

Land ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McCullough moves away.
Douglas McCullough seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCullough pulls out of a head kick attempt.

McCullough tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Land closes the distance and pushes McCullough back into the cage.

Land has McCullough pressed against the cage, preventing McCullough from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Land connects with a nasty looking knee right to McCullough's face.

Land escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McCullough tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Land drives through and clinches with McCullough against the cage.

Land swings away with an uppercut that misses.

McCullough avoids the elbow strike from Land, against the cage.
Land with a knee to the head.
Land has a couple of punches blocked by McCullough.
McCullough wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Land misses with a shot to the kidneys.
McCullough blocks an uppercut.
Land prevents the takedown attempt.
McCullough drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Land gets the underhooks and prevents it.
McCullough blocking some punches.
McCullough blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
McCullough wants a takedown but no success here.
Eye Land has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas McCullough.

Land breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick by McCullough misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Land uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Land throws a quick head kick that skims the top of McCullough's head.

McCullough is rocked!

Land has taken the fight to the clinch.
McCullough is still on wobbly legs! Can Land finish him?

Land lands a big knee to the head and McCullough goes down! Land pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
