Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Malone!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Corn instigates a clinch.
Malone throws a knee to the head but misses.

It looks like Frank Malone has been cut.

Corn throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Malone blocks it with crossed arms.
Malone doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Corn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Malone smiles and moves away.

Corn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Malone avoids it really well and circles away.

Corn moves into range and clinches up with Malone.

Malone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Corn pulls Malone into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Malone wants to get up but he can't break Corn's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Malone is looking to work some ground and pound but Corn has wrist control.
Malone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Malone throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Corn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Malone stands and steps away. Corn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A left hand lands to the body for Malone.
Corn is breathing heavily.

Malone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Malone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Malone closes the distance and clinches.
A nice right hand lands inside from Malone.
Malone lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Corn backwards.
Malone lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Corn tries a knee to the head but Malone blocks it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Malone with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Malone lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Malone scores with a shoulder strike.
Corn fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yellow Corn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Malone has Corn pressed against the cage, preventing Corn from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Malone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Malone closes the distance and clinches.
Malone content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Malone crunches a lovely knee into Corn's ribcage.
Nice body punch from Malone - that landed with a thud.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Malone makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Malone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Corn tries to move into range but Malone moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Corn has managed to clinch.
Corn letting Malone take a breather here.
Malone lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.


Corn is rocked!

Oh Corn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Malone lands a hook that snaps the head of Corn backwards.
Corn's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Malone creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Corn's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Corn drops to his knees and Malone pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Malone!
