Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Obworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obworth has chosen Danzig - Belly of the Beast as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett shoots in and gets a takedown into Obworth's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Barnett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Obworth swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Obworth looking for a guillotine here but Barnett defends easily.
Barnett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Barnett slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Barnett postures up in Obworth's guard and throws a big left but Obworth blocks it.
Barnett's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Barnett passes into half guard.
Obworth wants to get back to full guard.

Obworth avoids a series of strikes thrown by Barnett.
Barnett scores with a couple of good head shots there.
It looks like Jacob Obworth has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Barnett softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Obworth is out cold! Barnett jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josh Barnett!
A relieved looking Josh Barnett thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
