Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Fox!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Out tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fox rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Out moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Out instigates a clinch.

Out manages to break the clinch.
Out takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fox lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Out at a distance.
Out fails with an attempt to clinch.

Out rushes Fox and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fox tries for a takedown. No joy.

Out jumps into guard, dragging Fox to the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Out lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fox!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fox is trying to stand up.
Poor strikes thrown by Out there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Out cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fox can do anything to dispel that myth.
Out scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Fox's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Fox really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Out. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Out is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fox can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Out with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

You get the feeling that Fox really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Out is landing with some decent strikes but Fox is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Fox is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Out has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Out is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fox can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Fox looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Out! Submission of the night perhaps?
