The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Benoit.

Torzoni is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Benoit to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Benoit shrugs it off.

Benoit takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Benoit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Torzoni tries to avoid it but Benoit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Torzoni to the ground. Torzoni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Torzoni lands a left and a right that send Benoit crashing to the mat, dazed. Torzoni thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Torzoni takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Benoit is looking to clinch.
Benoit is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Torzoni moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
