Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Reiska Pekka Retale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mookie Magaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Retale comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up. Magaba has chosen Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reiska Pekka Retale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mookie Magaba!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magaba dips to his left and cracks Retale with an uppercut!
Retale ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Retale feints and then cracks Magaba's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Magaba down.
Magaba is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Retale.
Retale misses with a body shot.
Magaba swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Retale counters with an outside leg kick.
Retale tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Magaba counters with a three punch combo that has Retale backing up. Retale nods at Magaba to acknowledge the strikes.

and Retale connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Retale misses the shot to the body.
Magaba fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Retale checks it well.
Retale lands with a nice body punch.
Magaba on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Retale stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Retale wants it to stay on the feet.
Retale tries to clinch but Magaba is having none of it.
Magaba takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Retale scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Retale throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Magaba is still on wobbly legs! Can Retale finish him?
Retale has been working on his boxing with his coaches at KO Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Magaba closes this distance looking for a takedown but Retale circles away.
Magaba seems to have recovered his senses.
Magaba looks to land a combination but Retale avoids it well.
Retale is looking to wear down Magaba with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

and Magaba counters with a three punch combo that has Retale backing up. Retale nods at Magaba to acknowledge the strikes.
Magaba closes the distance and clinches up with Retale, looking for a takedown. Magaba pushes Retale against the cage but Retale circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Reiska Pekka Retale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mookie Magaba.
Magaba throws out a loose jab but Retale uses good head movement to avoid it.

Magaba steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Retale.
Magaba misses with an uppercut. Retale saw that one coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Magaba takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Magaba counters with a single leg into guard. Retale didn't expect that.
Magaba is pushing down on Retale's leg trying to pass to half guard. Retale is fighting to maintain full guard but Magaba has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Magaba is working for a submission of some sort.
Magaba wants to free his trapped foot but Retale is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Magaba wants to work for an arm triangle but Retale is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Magaba is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Magaba throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Retale is doing well to control the position and prevent Magaba from advancing to side control.

Magaba stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Retale swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Retale looking to hit a scissor sweep but Magaba is one step ahead there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Magaba postures up in Retale's guard and throws a big left but Retale blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Reiska Pekka Retale will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Retale fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Magaba, pushing him back against the cage.

Magaba is trying to pull guard but Retale has him pressed against the cage.
Retale tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Magaba avoids it.

Retale lands a damaging elbow.
Retale lands a nice shot to the body.
Magaba pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Magaba tries to pull guard but Retale won't allow it.

Magaba jumps into guard, dragging Retale to the mat.
Magaba is trying to keep Retale in close.

Magaba has his foot on Retale's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Retale works his way back into a safe position though.
Retale is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Retale pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Magaba! Retale unloads with more strikes and Magaba sinks to his knees! This one is all over!
