PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benny Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Benny Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vince Green!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green darts in looking for a takedown but Bass gets double underhooks and turns Green into the cage.

Green has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bass uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Green wriggles free and stands up.
Green throws a sloppy head kick and Bass moves out of range easily.
Green scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Green clinches with his opponent.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Green just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bass's brow.
Bass prevents the takedown attempt.
Bass is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Bass wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The referee calls for Green to work.
Bass can't break the clinch.
Bass wants to get back to striking at distance but Green won't allow it.
Bass is looking to break free of the clinch but Green has double underhooks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Green prevents Bass from breaking the clinch.
Green missing with knees to the body.
Bass working hard to break the clinch.
Bass is trying to push Green away but Green has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Green breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Bass.
Green rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bass moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Green takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Vince Green has been cut.
Bass throws a head kick that misses.
Benny Bass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping body kick lands there for Bass.
Green looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bass lands a high kick!
A head kick misses from Bass.
Green fails with a takedown attempt.
Benny Bass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vince Green.
Bass goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bass looks for the body kick but Green saw that one coming.
Green fails to land the takedown.
Nice body kick there by Bass.
Bass tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
That kick from Bass tenderised Green's leg. Green is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bass circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Green drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Bass follows Green to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
