Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kain Velazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velazquez comes to the cage accompanied by Since the Flood- . Kain Velazquez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kain Velazquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barry Allen!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velazquez tries to move into range but Allen moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Velazquez misses with a looping right.
Allen fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Velazquez checks it well.
Velazquez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Velazquez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Allen connects with a solid leg kick.
Allen with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Velazquez misses with a straight left.
Allen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Velazquez eats them both and turns towards Allen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Kain Velazquez has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Allen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Velazquez. That did some damage!

Donk. Allen catches Velazquez right on the button with a cross.
Allen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Velazquez on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Allen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Allen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Velazquez is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Allen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Velazquez needs to keep his hands up - Allen had a free shot at his head there.
Velazquez looks to land a right hand but Allen moved out of range.
Allen thows a body kick. Velazquez tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Velazquez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Velazquez might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Allen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Velazquez is trying to control Allen's posture but Allen avoids it.
