Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Salvador Dimagiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Urutaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Salvador Dimagiba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kai Urutaka!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Urutaka is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dimagiba's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Dimagiba is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Urutaka looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Urutaka throwing shots but Dimagiba is blocking nicely.

Dimagiba closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Urutaka's guard.

Urutaka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dimagiba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Salvador Dimagiba will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Dimagiba misses with a two punch combination.
Dimagiba leaves Urutaka with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dimagiba closes the distance and clinches up with Urutaka, looking for a takedown. Dimagiba pushes Urutaka against the cage but Urutaka circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

It looks like Salvador Dimagiba has been cut.

Urutaka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dimagiba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dimagiba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Urutaka manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dimagiba manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Urutaka is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Dimagiba is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Kai Urutaka has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Dimagiba stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dimagiba wants it to stay on the feet.
Salvador Dimagiba is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The fighters circle momentarily. Dimagiba darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Dimagiba changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Urutaka tries to avoid it but Dimagiba manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Urutaka to the ground. Urutaka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Urutaka tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dimagiba sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Urutaka somewhat.

Dimagiba really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dimagiba is pressed up against the cage. Urutaka has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dimagiba down to the mat. Dimagiba avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Urutaka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dimagiba swivels and escapes.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kai Urutaka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Urutaka has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
